Recently the news was there that Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) and Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) will be joining hands to promote the tourism and tourist destinations of Nepal in both domestic and international level. Now soon after the news here comes another one banging one as the Nepal Tourism Board will be inviting the foreign writers, bloggers and Journalists for free to Nepal. Yes, the tourism Board of Nepal is working with the national flag carrier, Nepal Airlines (RA) to bring the foreign writers to Nepal and promote the tourists destinations of the country to the international media.
However, not each and every writers will be invited by the tourism board of Nepal. As per the source, each destination will carry 9 of the writers and bloggers together and altogether around 80 of them from different destinations will be allowed to travel to Nepal each year for free. So it is said that foreign writers and bloggers will be invited from nine different destinations and tickets will be provide to all of them.

There is no clear and detail information regarding this but we will soon be hearing more about this I believe. Well, This is a great news by the way for both the visitors and the host nation. While the Travelers can visit different destinations of Nepal for free, the host nation will also be able to promote some of the best destinations of Nepal at the international level. While they have not mentioned anything, the bloggers, writers and journalists will most probably the ones related to travel and tourism.
This might create a chance to promote the tourist destinations of Nepal at the international level or to the places that the tourism board has missed till now.
Nepal Tourism Board and the concerned authorities have been working highly in the last few years for the promotion of tourism and tourist destinations of Nepal. However, tourist destinations and Nepal as a whole has not been able to gain the attention in the international market. So maybe, this new way of promoting the tourism of Nepal could work out. This might even help the tourists destinations of Nepal to be promoted in such level and such places that has never been done before.
This programme will be hosted by Nepal Tourism Board in collaboration with Nepal Airlines Corporation, so it is pretty sure that the airlines that will be used for the journey will most probably be Nepal Airlines. However, the national flag carrier of Nepal only have flights to limited destinations and most probably in the Asia countries. Nepal Airlines do not have European flights and any other apart from flights to Asian countries. So if European and other bloggers are to be invited, they might be using different airlines.
The criteria and the destinations is yet to be known.
There has not been information regarding the destinations that the foreign writers will be invited or anything about the criteria required for those writers to be invited. With just 9 of them from each destination to be invited, I am pretty sure there will be some criteria to choose from or likewise by the tourism board for them to visit Nepal for free.
Tourism industry of Nepal has not been able to recover or get back into action yet, well this new strategy might come handy in coming days. However, this programmes is nit for tourism to get back on track from the covid pandemic but overall it will help to promote tourism activities of Nepal after the pandemic as well.
